Aqua ViTea is seeking a hard-working, self-motivated Production Worker with a sincere interest in healthy, handcrafted microbrewing to join our Production Team in Middlebury. Basic computer skills, such as email and Excel, required. Experience driving a forklift a plus. Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs. No phone calls, please.
Location:

The position is based out of Aqua ViTea’s headquarters in Middlebury, Vermont.

Primary job functions include but are not limited to:

  • Lovingly packaging Aqua ViTea Kombucha while adhering to quality control standards at each bottling and begging station. There are 4 essential stations, with rotation encouraged throughout the shift
  • Checking bottles for cracks, chips or other defects prior to filling
  • Filling empty bottles with Kombucha via a 4-head filler
  • Capping filled bottles and sending down conveyor belt to lot coder and bottle labeler
  • Packing filled, capped, coded and labeled bottles into 12-pack case, sealing and palletizing filled cases
  • Constructing boxes, applying correct case label and lot sticker (contains lot code and best by date)
  • Wearing appropriate PPE, following all food safety rules/guidelines and all general safety rules/regulations
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of production room
  • Completing Line Start-Up and Shutdown Procedures

Aqua ViTea is seeking a hard-working, self-motivated maintenance member with a sincere interest in healthy, handcrafted microbrewing to join our team in Middlebury. Basic computer skills, such as email and Excel, required. Experience driving a forklift a plus. Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs. No phone calls, please.

Primary job functions include but are not limited to:

  • Walk through the plant you are locating any issues that will hinder production, shipping, heating and cooling.
  • Check tank farms for any leak in the cooling system, this is done by checking any and all pipes for any Glycol leaks or water leaks.
  • Check heating exchangers for steam leaks, water leaks and Glycol leaks and overall condition of chilling equipment. Namely the chilling pumps 1 thru 4.
  • Check main water supply for any leaks.
  • Check Spinning Cone Column for any leaks and overall condition of equipment and notify Cellar Chief of any deficiency.
  • Check Warehouse for any leaks in heating system, Storm drains and vents from Roof, and also check Alcohol storage by making sure its locked.
  • Check main cooler for temp and leaks.
  • Check Juice cooler for proper temp, and check for leaks or spills,
  • Check production equipment for proper running fix as needed, also check for any loose connection or hardware.
  • Check kegging line for pump leaks and make sure you turn on tank heater on it must be 160 degrees.
  • Check for proper temp 76 to 80 degrees is appropriate, check for water leaks and steam leaks we do not want water getting into the product and check garage doors and exit door please make sure there closed.
  • Check outside chillers, remove debris from fans as needed, Check wastewater tank and lines for any leaks, make sure back gate is locked and doors are secure.
  • Check out boilers and do blow downs twice daily, also maintain wastewater equipment and do test at end of the day.
  • Maintenance on machines and general building updates
  • Perform duties in other areas as needed and collaborate on projects as directed by management

Aqua ViTea is seeking a hard-working, self-motivated individual to oversee the shipment or receipt of outgoing or incoming materials or products, study shipping and receiving processes for effectiveness and suggest improvements to distribution procedures. Basic computer skills, such as email and Excel, required. Experience driving a forklift a plus. Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs. No phone calls, please.

Primary job functions include but are not limited to:

  • Orchestrate inbound and outbound shipping. Ensure accuracy and quality of shipments.
  • Work with inventory, sales, production and finance departments for any shipping needs.
  • Communicate directly to buyers
  • Communicate any and all S/R issues to all involved
  • Receive orders and enter into Weekly Order Sheet
  • Maintain Weekly Order Sheet and other logs
  • Assist with packing orders
  • Oversee and assist with packing of orders
  • Inspect all inbound and outbound shipping for Quality Control
  • Open and secure building as required
  • Oversee product cooler organization and safety
  • Keep a clean and organized warehouse
  • Monitor outdoor waste and recycle cans
  • Reach out to new shipping providers, monitor for shipping alternatives
  • Inspect all paperwork for errors.
  • Perform duties in other areas as needed and collaborate on projects as directed by management

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Shipping and Receiving required
  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Solid knowledge of spreadsheets and Google Docs
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs
